Wake, Wake
Yesterday a friend requested Ancestral Soul healing. Despite Fluttering Heart’s (my drum) loose and flat state from the 100% humidity of a South Texas afternoon, she insisted she take part in the ritual amongst the trees.
When I woke this morning, the echoes of her beats bellowed in my third eye as Ancestors joined in and whispered a prayer for my friend:
Come, come sleeping one
No more dreaming
Rise now, Rise fast
It is time
Wake, wake sleeping one
No more night sky
Rise the sun, vanish monsters with your might
Come, come sleeping one
Now’s the journey
To be the hero
You must finish up the Sky
Wake, wake sleeping one
No more night time
Wake now before the Darkness steals your life
Come, come sleeping one
Hear them calling
Sons and Daughters
Chirp, chirping in the night
Wake, wake sleeping one
See it dawning
Rise the sun
Rise the light up with your might
Come, come sleeping one
Call your army
Wake now, hear them echo in the Sky
